Basic knowledge therapy machine operation, maintenance and repairs of the same. Provides treatment and rehabiltitative services to patients who have experienced injury or disability disease. Provides residents with excercises. Responsible for providing treatment as directed by the staff Physical Therapist. Adheres to standards of physical medicine practice. Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect, discuss observations with staff and Physical Therapist. Responsible for the monitoring and documentation of resident treatment and response. Assists with formulation of a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and assesses effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate, staff and Physical Therapist are apprised of conclusions. Meets current documentation standards and policies. Adheres to facility's Policy and Procedure. CPR Certification. Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1-2 years experience in long term care preferred. Good Physical and mental health. Must be able to perform any physical requirement of the position which includes lifting dead weight or unassisted weight of 50 pounds. Is capable of following oral and written instructions. Have training, knowledge and experience which allows for general supervision of responsibilities.
