We recently brought our therapy department in-house , giving our therapists the opportunity to work as an integral part of the facility team rather than through a contract therapy company. Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer training, functional mobility activities, and other appropriate interventions within the PTA scope of practice. Help residents improve strength, balance, mobility, safety, and functional independence. Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress, changes in condition, or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and strategies to support continued progress. Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation in accordance with facility, regulatory, and professional standards. Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging treatment environment. Contribute to excellent clinical outcomes and a positive rehabilitation experience for our residents. Qualifications Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Interest in working with geriatric, skilled nursing, and post-acute rehabilitation populations New graduates are welcome to apply
