Physical Therapist Assistant Location:
Concord, CA 94520 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team in Concord, CA. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans designed to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and their families on exercises, equipment use, and injury prevention techniques. Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and maintained. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize rehabilitation outcomes. Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current and valid California PTA license or certification. Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, anatomy, and rehabilitation principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling. Work Environment This position is based in a clinical setting in Concord, CA. The role may require standing for extended periods, assisting patients with mobility, and occasional lifting of equipment or patients as needed.
