Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Valid PTA license in California Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Solid understanding of IEPs, therapy documentation, and best practices in adaptive physical education Strong collaboration and communication skills to liaise with teachers, therapists, and families Ability to adapt and individualize therapy interventions for a range of student needs and abilities Organizational skills for managing caseloads, progress tracking, and time management

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Collaborate with certified physical therapists and educational teams to establish and achieve student goals Assist in developing, implementing, and modifying physical therapy interventions tailored to each student Monitor and document student progress, maintaining current and thorough records Educate school staff and family members on strategies to support students' physical growth and independence Foster a positive, inclusive environment that enhances students' physical capabilities and confidence
