Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include: Assisting in the implementation of individualized physical therapy treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring that patient-specific goals are met. Administering therapeutic interventions such as exercises, manual therapy techniques, gait training, and implementing pain management strategies to aid in patient recovery. Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, ensuring clear communication of any changes in patient status to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educating patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, emphasizing safety practices, and formulating effective home care strategies to enhance recovery. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with state and facility regulations, fostering accountability and transparency in patient care. Creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment during therapy sessions to facilitate patient comfort and motivation. Collaborating seamlessly with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes through coordinated care plans and consistent communication. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patient population primarily includes adults and geriatric individuals, many of whom are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Your role in providing compassionate and effective care will directly impact their rehabilitation journey, promoting faster recovery and improved functionality. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications: An Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. An active California Physical Therapist Assistant license. Strong communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team. Proficiency in motivating and supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation process. Preferred Experience While we welcome applications from recent graduates, preference will be given to candidates with: At least one year of experience working with adult or geriatric populations. Experience in outpatient, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehabilitation settings, bringing valuable insights into diverse patient care approaches. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary ranging between $70,000 and $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
