Physical Therapist Assistant Skilled Nursing - 3.7 Fresno, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Per diem From $35 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Skilled nursing facility experience Vital signs Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Orthopedics Post-acute care experience Full Job Description We are a skilled nursing facility seeking a compassionate and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA to join our Rehabilitation Services team. The PTA will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide treatment and support residents with mobility, strength, balance, transfers, gait, endurance, positioning, and overall safety. Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments according to the established plan of care and under the direction of a Physical Therapist Assist residents with therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer training, balance, strengthening, positioning, and mobility activities Monitor resident response to treatment, including pain, fatigue, vital signs, skin condition, and safety concerns Complete accurate and timely documentation of treatments, resident progress, and response to therapy Assist with wheelchairs, mobility equipment, assistive devices, and safe transfer techniques Communicate changes in resident condition or treatment needs to the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team Follow infection prevention, resident safety, confidentiality, and facility policies Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification in the state of practice Skilled nursing, geriatric, post acute, orthopedic, neurological, or cardiopulmonary experience preferred Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to safely assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and equipment If you are a dedicated PTA who enjoys working with the geriatric and post acute population, we would love to hear from you.
