Duties Support physical therapists by preparing treatment areas and assisting with patient setup for therapy sessions Help patients with transfers and mobility using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including intake procedures and progress notes Ensure patient safety through proper use of physiotherapy equipment and adherence to safety protocols, including CPR when necessary Assist with rehabilitation exercises, post-acute care routines, and orthopedic or geriatrics-specific therapies under supervision Uphold patient confidentiality at all times, respecting privacy regulations and hospital policies Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members to enhance the overall care experience Requirements Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or healthcare support role is highly preferred, especially in inpatient or hospital settings Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and client communication skills Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during patient transfers and equipment setup Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) required; additional certifications in acute care or orthopedics are advantageous Experience working with geriatric populations or within post-acute care environments is desirable Familiarity with rehabilitation care assistance, inpatient services, and physiotherapy practices is beneficial Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Embark on a rewarding career path that combines compassionate patient care with professional growth!
