• Full-time Job description Overview Outpatient orthopedic clinic in Mission Viejo (by Mission Hospital) is looking for a full time licensed physical therapist assistant.

Join a team of 4 physical therapists and 1 physical therapist assistant treating a diverse population of orthopedic patients primarily referred by orthopedic surgeons. Quality patient care is the focus of the clinic. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide direct patient care by administering therapeutic exercises and modalities. Educate patients about treatment protocols, exercises, and home care strategies. Monitor patient progress and document changes in their condition, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to communicate effectively within the healthcare team. Implement specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy as directed by the supervising therapist. Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment for patients. Qualifications Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant required. Strong knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology, and physiology. Experience in outpatient setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with orthopedics and rehabilitation techniques is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
