Minimum 1 year required About the Role We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Monterey, California. This position focuses on providing rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), assisting patients with therapeutic treatments, improving mobility, and supporting functional recovery under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments based on the established plan of care. Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist. Complete accurate treatment documentation and maintain patient records. Follow facility policies and rehabilitation standards while supporting quality patient care. Requirements Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required. Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience required. Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred. Experience with NetHealth (Rehab Optima) preferred. Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills. This opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule in a Skilled Nursing Facility, allowing experienced Physical Therapy Assistants to deliver quality rehabilitation services while supporting patient mobility and recovery.
