Job Description:
The Physical Therapy Tech plays a vital support role in the daily operations of Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. This position bridges the gap between patients and licensed physical therapists by facilitating patient flow, supervising and instructing patients during exercise routines, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the clinic, and assisting with administrative tasks. The aide will support a team of licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy and other clinical professionals, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care in a professional and respectful environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about physical therapy and rehabilitation, particularly those pursuing future careers in healthcare fields such as physical therapy, athletic training, or exercise science.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists during therapy sessions by supervising and instructing patients on prescribed exercises Prepare treatment areas and set up equipment for therapy sessions Escort patients to and from treatment areas Monitor patient safety and report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist Maintain cleanliness of treatment tables, equipment, and the overall clinic environment Perform laundry tasks including washing, drying, and folding linens Track and report inventory needs to management Complete administrative tasks such as pulling/filling flowsheets and administering patient outcome surveys Maintain professionalism and ensure all patient progression and manual therapy is conducted only by licensed personnel
Experience:
Prior experience in a clinical, rehabilitation, or fitness setting is preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Customer service or patient care experience is a plus
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required College coursework or degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Biology, or related field is preferred but not required Ideal for candidates planning to pursue graduate studies in physical therapy or related health professions Licenses/Certifications No formal licenses or certifications are required Background in athletic training, personal training, or massage therapy is a plus but not necessary Equal Opportunity Employer #LI-CF1

Position Type:
