Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, supporting patient recovery, and enhancing mobility and function. Your expertise will help patients regain independence across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Perform therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques to improve patient outcomes. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate closely with healthcare team members—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate patient care plans. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and injury prevention to promote ongoing recovery outside of therapy sessions. Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements for medical documentation. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy treatment implementation with experience in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. Skilled in clinical assessment documentation and adhering to clinical documentation standards for accurate recordkeeping. Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments and managing electronic health records (EHR). Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds, including pediatrics and geriatrics, as well as collaborating with healthcare professionals. Ability to perform physical therapy treatments within inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Familiarity with discharge planning procedures and developing comprehensive care plans for various patient needs.
