Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in executing personalized care plans for patients in the home health environment. Implement physical therapy treatments including manual therapy techniques, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient's needs. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions while adhering to clinical documentation standards. Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems, ensuring compliance with medical documentation and clinical standards. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers about care plans, progress, and discharge instructions to foster understanding and engagement. Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning. Support patients through various stages of recovery including geriatrics and orthopedics with specialized interventions like manual therapy or trigger point therapy. Experience Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiotherapy principles including anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation. Hands-on experience with medical equipment operation relevant to physical therapy treatments is advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems to ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities. Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages—including adults and geriatrics—as well as caregivers and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Experience implementing care plans for diverse populations such as orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, or chronic pain management is a plus. Skilled in outpatient therapy techniques including manual therapy and trigger point therapy; experience in inpatient or skilled nursing facility settings is desirable.
