Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care environments. Your contributions will be vital in helping patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their overall physical function. Duties Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and self-care techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress notes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in discharge planning to facilitate a smooth transition for patients post-treatment. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals. Experience in acute care settings or skilled nursing facilities is preferred. Strong background in patient care , ensuring comfort and safety during treatment sessions. Familiarity with various clinical environments, including pediatrics , inpatient , and geriatrics care. Knowledge of discharge planning processes to assist patients transitioning out of therapy. Ability to perform trigger point therapy techniques as part of treatment protocols.
