In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your contributions will be vital in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their overall quality of life. Duties As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assisting physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Conducting therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance mobility, strength, and coordination. Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educating patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies. Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and progress in accordance with medical standards. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participating in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving care settings. Experience The ideal candidate will possess: Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and those requiring skilled nursing or home health services. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. A strong commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
