Job Description
Description Join Our Rehabilitation Team! Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center/Veterans Community Living Center (SPRHC/VCLC) is looking for a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation Services team in beautiful Southern Colorado. At SPRHC/VCLC, you have the opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and a supportive rehabilitation team. Our therapists provide care in a variety of settings.
Pay Range:
$28.46-$39.88 per hour based on experience and qualificationsWork Schedule:
Monday-Friday, no weekends Requirements As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide quality, patient-centered care.Responsibilities include:
Providing therapeutic treatments according to the patient's plan of care Helping patients improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and independence Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities Monitoring patient progress and response to treatment Communicating patient needs and progress with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team Developing positive relationships with patients and their families Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals Maintaining accurate and timely documentation We are looking for someone who is: A graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Licensed or eligible for licensure as a PTA in Colorado CPR/BLS certified or willing to obtain certification Compassionate and patient-focused Dependable and professional A strong communicator A team player who enjoys working with others Interested in making a difference in a rural communityMinimum Required Education/Experience :
Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. Hold a Hold a current, unrestricted Colorado Physical Therapist Assistant license.Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills :
- Ability to maintain an efficient work schedule with a high level of productivity.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving skills to work with patients, families, staff members and other team members to aid in providing high quality care.
- Ability to operate general office equipment including computer software applications (e-mail, surveillance equipment/cameras).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses advanced active listening skills, including seeking clarification when in doubt and requesting feedback when needed.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees and administration.

An acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.Necessary Special Requirements :
Must obtain annual flu and Covid-19 vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to submit to tuberculosis screening process.Licenses or Certificates :
