Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Chiropractic Front Desk Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines exceptional patient service with efficient administrative support, ensuring smooth clinic operations and a welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with new patient intake processes Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment confirmations Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies Process medical billing and collections efficiently, including coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), and ICD coding standards Assist with insurance claims submission and follow-up on unpaid or denied claims in accordance with health insurance guidelines like Medicare Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation, filing medical records, and performing clerical tasks such as data entry and file organization Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably within chiropractic or dental clinics Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential Familiarity with medical billing procedures including medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance processing, and collection practices Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion while adhering to HIPAA regulations Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior experience working with health insurance plans like Medicare is a plus; familiarity with clinical confidentiality policies is required Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and electronic health records management Competency in typing (including 10-key), filing, and managing multi-line phone systems efficiently Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in a supportive and energetic environment!
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
