Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and rehabilitation services. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately within electronic health records (EHR). Support wound care management and perform behavioral interventions as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, home exercises, and health maintenance strategies. Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct remote therapy sessions when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care. Maintain compliance with safety standards such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), especially during emergency situations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across diverse communities, including culturally sensitive approaches. Participate in hyperbaric medicine procedures and assist with specialized treatments when required. Communicate effectively with clients to foster trust, clarify treatment goals, and promote active participation in recovery. Experience Prior experience working with culturally diverse communities is highly desirable to ensure inclusive patient care. Certification or training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required for emergency preparedness. Proven ability to deliver patient-centered care with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience managing electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently for documentation purposes. Familiarity with wound care techniques, hyperbaric medicine procedures, and behavioral intervention strategies is a plus. Previous exposure to telehealth platforms enhances your ability to adapt to modern healthcare delivery methods.
