Our work environment includes:
Modern office setting Our company is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant with 2+ years experience to join our rehabilitation center. The ideal candidate will collaborate with certified physical therapists to assist patients with their rehabilitation needs. The Physical Therapist Assistant will monitor and administer rehabilitation exercises as well as help with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
Teach patients about the benefits of exercise. Provide physical therapy treatments to patients. Collaborate with a physician and rehab team to develop physical therapy treatment plans for orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Learn about the pathophysiology of various medical conditions and diseases. Develop therapeutic treatment plans utilizing physical modalities and exercises based on physician's orders, a review of the patient's medical record, and a discussion with the patient. Assist in the development of discharge plans for patients who are being discharged home. Document patient progress in the medical record using EMR. Work with patients experiencing spine and extremity issues, concussions, TBI, and vestibular disorders. Ensure excellent communication and psychosocial support to patients. Qualifications Skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Experience in Patient Care and delivering Quality Patient Care Effective communication and interpersonal skills Licensed or certified to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team Commitment to supporting patient recovery and promoting overall well-being
Pay:
$32.00 - $34.00 per hour
