Job Description

Florida Spine Associates in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our spine specialists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care for patients with neck and back conditions. The PTA will implement treatment plans, guide therapeutic exercises, provide patient education on posture and body mechanics, and document progress in the EMR. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty practice. You will collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, and clinical staff in a patient-first, team-based environment focused on outcomes, innovation, and continuous learning. Responsibilities Provide therapeutic exercises and treatments per PT plan of care for spine patients Assist with patient evaluations by gathering history and functional status Educate patients on posture, body mechanics, and home exercise programs Monitor and document patient progress in the electronic medical record Communicate changes in patient status to supervising PT and physicians Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and infection control standards Support scheduling and flow to ensure timely, efficient patient care Collaborate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning Required Skills Therapeutic exercise implementation Spine and orthopedic rehabilitation Patient assessment support EMR documentation Patient education and HEP instruction Manual therapy assistance Pain management modalities Infection control procedures Interdisciplinary communication Time management and prioritization
