Job Description

Overview Full-time. 8am to 5pm, including weekends Assist's the Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services and education to patients. Educates other health professionals and students about rehabilitation. UF Health Shands Rehab Services is dedicated to providing excellent patient care to individuals throughout north central Florida. Through comprehensive rehabilitation programs, we hope to create a safe and comfortable environment that empowers individuals to manage their care independently, return to a functional lifestyle and improve their quality of life. We are dedicated to treating our patients with compassion, creativity, respect and confidentiality. Our rehab centers accomplish this with close working relationships between our referring physicians, therapists, support staff, University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions and the University of Florida Athletics Program. Our therapists provide rehabilitation services and education to patients. We offer continuing education, journal clubs, staff mentoring and the ability to be involved with student clinical education and our UF Health accredited residency programs in Sports and Orthopedics.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Associates Degree in a Rehab Therapy No previous clinical experience necessary Demonstrates knowledge and skill in a broad range of therapy services and settings Demonstrates strong communication skills
