Full Job Description Overview:
The Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapy patient treatment within the established plan of care and treatment protocols and under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Qualifications:
Age of Patients Served:
All Age Groups. Required Education Associate's Degree; Graduate from an accredited school for Physical Therapist Assistant approved by the Council of Medical Education in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association. Required Licensure/Certifications Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Florida. BLS from the American Heart Association Required Experience Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (Acute, outpatient, etc.). Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services preferred Necessary Skills Demonstrates knowledge and skill in a broad range of Physical Therapy treatment interventions Demonstrate strong communication skills. Proactive, positive approach to problem solving Demonstrates strong ability to use computer, Microsoft Office suite. Able to work independently
