Job Description
Job Summary Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist Carry out established plans of care and appropriately progress treatments within the PTA scope of practice Provide primarily outpatient orthopedic treatment Treat a variety of patient populations and diagnoses Complete accurate and timely documentation Communicate changes in patient status to the supervising Physical Therapist Educate patients regarding exercises, home programs, and treatment recommendations Maintain a positive, professional, and patient-centered environment Work collaboratively with the PT and clinic team Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current or eligible Florida PTA license Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dependable and able to manage a patient schedule efficiently Comfortable working with a degree of independence while maintaining appropriate communication with the supervising PT Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but not required Vestibular and/or neurological rehabilitation experience is a plus New graduates are welcome to apply Schedule Approximately 25-30 hours per week , primarily during weekday daytime hours. There is potential for the position to grow as the clinic's caseload increases.
