Job Description

CORA Physical Therapy seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant for our outpatient clinic in Leesburg, FL. In this full-time role, you'll deliver evidence-based, hands-on care under the direction of a Physical Therapist, guiding therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and functional training for diverse orthopedic and neurologic cases. You'll educate patients and families, document in EMR, and collaborate daily within a supportive, patient-first team culture. Responsibilities Provide hands-on treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist for a diverse outpatient caseload Implement and progress therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training programs Instruct patients in home exercise programs and safe use of assistive devices Monitor patient progress, document treatments, and update electronic health records accurately and timely Communicate with Physical Therapists and the clinical team to adjust plans of care and ensure quality outcomes Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, safety, and strategies to improve mobility and independence Support clinic operations including scheduling assistance, maintaining equipment, and keeping treatment areas clean and organized Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing education to enhance clinical skills Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and company standards for patient care and documentation Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic culture focused on patient-first service and community engagement Required Skills Outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation Therapeutic exercise prescription Manual therapy techniques Neuromuscular re-education Gait and balance training Use of rehabilitation modalities (e.g., ultrasound, e-stim) Patient and family education Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Therapy clinic workflow and scheduling Infection control and safety procedures
