Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans using evidence-based physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and manual therapy. Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately following clinical documentation standards and medical terminology guidelines. Operate and maintain medical equipment used during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper function. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility strategies, and injury prevention to promote active participation in recovery. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure comprehensive documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and medical documentation requirements. Support patients across various settings such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care by adapting treatment approaches to meet individual needs. Experience Prior experience working in inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy principles essential for effective client care. Hands-on experience with clinical assessment documentation and adherence to clinical documentation standards is required. Skilled in the operation of medical equipment related to physical therapy treatments including modalities for trigger point therapy. Proven ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics—and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with outpatient therapy protocols, discharge planning processes, and skilled nursing facility procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience in specialized areas such as orthopedics or sports medicine is a valuable asset for supporting diverse patient needs.
