Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Join the Senior Helpers of Melbourne Team! Senior Helpers of Melbourne is growing and is looking for a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our expanding Skilled Home Health team. If you are passionate about helping patients regain independence while providing exceptional care in the comfort of their homes, we'd love to meet you. Position Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Location Melbourne, Palm Bay, and surrounding Southern Brevard County areas Employment Type Part-Time, Flexible Schedule Position Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care in patients' homes. This role focuses on helping patients improve mobility, strength, balance, safety, and overall functional independence while maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments as outlined in the patient's Plan of Care. Monitor and document patient progress toward established goals. Educate patients and family members on exercises, mobility techniques, and fall prevention. Communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation. Collaborate with nurses, therapists, caregivers, physicians, and office staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Follow Medicare, state, and company regulations and standards. Promote patient safety and maintain the highest level of professionalism during all home visits. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current Florida PTA license in good standing. Current CPR certification. Valid Florida driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
