Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions while maintaining proper care and safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure compliance with medical documentation requirements. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and home care strategies to support ongoing recovery. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology. Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation and adherence to medical documentation standards. Skilled in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy and outpatient therapy techniques. Experience with inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, home health services, outpatient clinics, or acute care environments. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across diverse populations. Ability to operate medical equipment safely while maintaining high standards of clinical documentation. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure seamless patient transitions.
