Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy care. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, home health, and pediatric settings. Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques to promote healing and mobility. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards and medical terminology guidelines. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Communicate clearly with clients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress updates, and home exercise programs. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) management with meticulous attention to detail for all medical documentation and therapy notes. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and related medical terminology to inform effective treatment strategies. Proficiency in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques. Experience with documentation, medical documentation standards, and discharge planning processes. Ability to operate medical equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols in various clinical environments such as inpatient units. Excellent caregiver communication skills to foster trust and understanding with patients of all ages. Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Spanish is a plus. Pay:
$27.90 - $33.60 per hour
