Position Summary We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our hospital-based rehabilitation team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population across acute care, skilled nursing, swing bed, and outpatient settings. The PTA will implement evidence-based treatment plans under the direction of a Physical Therapist, helping patients regain mobility, improve function, and enhance their quality of life. Key Responsibilities Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions Assist with patient education on home exercise programs, safety, and mobility techniques Collaborate with PTs, OTs, SLPs, nursing, and case management to support coordinated care Document treatments and progress notes accurately and timely in the EMR system Participate in discharge planning and provide input on equipment needs and follow-up therapy Assist with departmental initiatives, including program development and quality improvement Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current Georgia PTA license (or license eligibility) Experience in hospital, outpatient, or skilled nursing facility settings preferred but not required (new grads welcome) Strong clinical skills, communication, and documentation abilities Commitment to providing exceptional care in rural and community-based healthcare environments To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your qualifications for this position to Kelsie Boykin at kboykin@bencura.com.
