Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
(non-exempt): Prepares patients for treatment and maintains orderliness and cleanliness of department/treatment area.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills. Experience in a hospital setting preferred, but not necessary.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Reports to Therapy Services Manager
DIRECT REPORTS
None
POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Assists PT or PTA in preparing treatment area and preparing patient for treatment Informs PT or PTA of any patient report of condition changes Assists PT or PTA in patient care as directed Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in department and PT treatment areas Assists with patient scheduling, data entry, patient statistical reports, surveys, daily logs, insurance information collection, faxing information as requested by therapists, collecting & distributing mail and supply ordering Checks discharged patient charts for completeness and then forwards to Health Information Attends and completes all health center and department in-services as requested by Manager Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients, families, and coworkers Performs other related duties as requested or required. Regular and punctual attendance
WORK ENVIRONMENT
: Works in a well-illuminated, climate-controlled environment May come in contact with hazardous chemical or treatment modalities Possibility exists of exposure to communicable diseases Involvement in inpatient care may result in unavoidable work-related illness or injury Work environment is comfortable, with minimal exposure to physical hazards Moderate to loud noise environment when machines/equipment in use Involvement in checking in/moving of supplies may result in unavoidable work-related injury Must be constantly alert for patient/family emergency situations
