Northwest Wellness Group is a boutique physical therapy clinic specializing in pelvic floor physical therapy , and we are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), bonus if you have Pilates Reformer experience to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a PTA who enjoys exercise, movement, anatomy, and rehabilitation and wants to work in a specialized pelvic health and wellness environment . Our clinic provides individualized, one-on-one care to women, men, and children with pelvic floor, orthopedic, and musculoskeletal conditions. We also incorporate movement-based wellness services, including Pilates Reformer , into our patients' rehabilitation and ongoing wellness programs. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a PTA who: Holds a current Illinois PTA license Has Pilates Reformer experience - preferred Has a strong interest in exercise and movement-based rehabilitation Is interested in learning or expanding their knowledge of pelvic floor physical therapy Enjoys working one-on-one with patients Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Is compassionate, energetic, professional, and team-oriented Enjoys learning and working collaboratively with experienced physical therapists Pelvic floor experience is preferred, but will consider with a strong interest and has taken (1) pelvic health course. What You'll Do Working under the direction and supervision of our physical therapists, you will: Provide skilled therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education Assist with individualized pelvic floor rehabilitation programs Utilize Pilates Reformer exercises as appropriate for patient rehabilitation and wellness Develop and progress individualized exercise programs Work with patients on core strength, breathing mechanics, posture, balance, coordination, flexibility, and functional movement Modify Pilates and therapeutic exercises based on individual patient needs and limitations Assist patients transitioning from physical therapy into ongoing Pilates and wellness programming Provide instruction for home exercise programs Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate with the supervising PT Educate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation Maintain accurate and timely documentation Collaborate with our physical therapy team to provide exceptional patient care Pelvic Health Training & Growth You don't have to be a pelvic floor expert when you walk through our doors. Requirements Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. Proven experience in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient settings, or home health environments. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems proficiently. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions; compassionate approach to patient care. Experience working within acute care settings or outpatient clinics is preferred; inpatient or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus.
