Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Physical Therapist Assistant, working with PreK through 3rd grade students near Bolingbrook, IL. This part-time position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, offering the flexibility of working 2 to 3 days per week. You'll play a pivotal role in helping children develop essential motor skills that contribute to their overall academic and personal growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapy Current Illinois state license for Physical Therapist Assistants Previous experience in a school setting or working with young children (PreK-3rd grade) preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to a diverse student population Organizational skills to manage documentation and caseload requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized and group physical therapy programs as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist Support students in achieving their mobility and functional goals within the school environment Maintain accurate records of student progress, sessions, and communications Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure continuity of care Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals Adapt interventions and equipment for students with varying abilities and needs Enjoy valuable benefits, including weekly pay, access to 401k enrollment, and reimbursement for continuing education units—all designed to support your professional growth and financial security.
