Operate and maintain medical equipment used during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards and medical terminology. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, communicate treatment plans, and update electronic health records (EHR). Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies to support ongoing recovery. Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions and report any concerns or adverse reactions promptly. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in physical therapy treatment implementation within inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, or home health settings. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR) management. Skilled in manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions. Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
