Job Description

A Brief Overview Administers therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as directed by the physical therapist. Identifies patients in need of re-assessment or intervention by the physical therapist and routinely collaborates with the physical therapist and occupational health provider regarding the plan of care. What you will do Effectively utilizes the physical therapist's evaluation to identify patient's skills, educational baseline, social setting, equipment needs, and discharge plan to establish the treatment approach to each patient. Demonstrate attention to the Plan of Care without omission of key treatment points. Appropriately administers safe and effective treatment with corresponding documentation. Carefully re-assesses Plan of Care in an appropriate timeframe and addresses changes as needed. Safely operates all equipment relevant to treatment. Effectively establishes priorities for using time to maximize productivity. Willingly performs other duties as necessary. Participate in daily clinic operations such as facilitating pre-participation testing, agility testing, drug and alcohol testing, respirator and spirometry testing, and toher testing as applies to clinic operations. Participate in required trainings to facilitate Occupational Health testing, and maintain any certifications needed to facilitate such tests. Education Qualifications Associate's Degree Physical Therapy Assistant Required Experience Qualifications Minimum of one year relevant experience Experience working as a physical therapy assistant Preferred and Minimum of one year relevant experience Worker's Compensation Preferred or Minimum of one year relevant experience Industrial Experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications Current State of Illinois Physical Therapy Assistant License Required and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification Shifts:
vary with operations occurring Monday - Friday from 6 am to 4 pm
Hours:
32 hours per week
