Job Description
Chiropractic Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator - 4-Day Workweek Family Tree Chiropractic | Park Ridge, IL $20-$23/hour | Paid for 40 Hours/Week | 4-Day Workweek | Fridays Off | Benefits + Bonuses Are you the kind of person who naturally makes people feel welcome? Do you smile often, love connecting with people, and genuinely enjoy helping others? Are you organized, dependable, and able to keep your cool when there are several things happening at once? You might be exactly who we're looking for. Family Tree Chiropractic is looking for an energetic, personable, and self-motivated Chiropractic Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. We are a busy, established, family-focused chiropractic office in Park Ridge caring for patients of all ages—from newborn babies and children to pregnant moms, parents, grandparents, and entire families. Our office is upbeat, relationship-driven, and fast-paced. We're looking for someone who brings warmth and positive energy to the office while also being highly organized, dependable, and capable of keeping things moving. This is not a position where you simply sit behind a front desk. You will be one of the first people our patients see, an important part of keeping our day running smoothly, and a major part of the experience our families have every time they walk through our doors. What You'll Do As a Chiropractic Assistant, you'll help create an exceptional patient experience while keeping our office organized and running efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Warmly greeting patients and families Answering phones, texts, and patient questions professionally and enthusiastically Scheduling and managing patient appointments Helping patients stay on track with their recommended care schedules Managing patient flow throughout the office Collecting payments and assisting with front-office administrative responsibilities Supporting the doctor with therapies, scans, and other patient-care procedures as trained Maintaining accurate patient information Keeping the front office organized, clean, and welcoming Building genuine relationships with our patients and their families Anticipating what needs to be done and taking initiative Working closely with the doctor and other team members to keep the office running smoothly Occasionally traveling with the team for chiropractic seminars, training, and professional development You May Be Our Person If You... Are naturally friendly, upbeat, and personable Smile easily and genuinely enjoy talking with people Love helping others and making people feel cared for Enjoy babies and children and are comfortable interacting with families Are highly organized and detail-oriented Can multitask without becoming easily overwhelmed Thrive in a busy, energetic environment Communicate confidently and professionally in person, on the phone, and through text Are self-motivated and notice what needs to be done without always being asked Are dependable, punctual, and take ownership of your responsibilities Are comfortable learning technology and new office systems Are coachable and respond well to feedback Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team Are looking for a position where you can stay, grow, and become an important part of the practice Are willing and able to occasionally travel for seminars and professional development No Chiropractic Experience? That's Okay. We can teach you chiropractic, our technology, and our systems. What we're looking for is much harder to teach: warmth, initiative, reliability, excellent communication, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to take care of people. Experience in chiropractic, healthcare, dental, physical therapy, hospitality, customer service, or another patient/client-facing position is helpful, but the right personality and work ethic matter more to us than having chiropractic experience. This Position Probably Isn't for You If... You prefer minimal interaction with people, dislike being around children, become easily overwhelmed when several things need your attention at once, or are looking for a quiet receptionist position where you can mostly sit behind a desk. Family Tree has energy. There may be a baby at the front desk, kids coming in after school, phones ringing, patients checking in and out, appointments needing to be scheduled, and several conversations happening at once. The right person doesn't just tolerate that environment—they enjoy it. Schedule We offer the stability and benefits of full-time employment with a consistent four-day workweek.
Our regular office schedule is:
Monday-Wednesday 8:30 AM-12:30 PM 1:30 PM-6:00 PM
• Thursday 9:00 AM-12:30 PM 1:30 PM-6:00 PM
•
Friday:
OFF Our scheduled patient hours end at 6:00 PM; however, team members are expected to remain until the final patient has completed their visit and closing responsibilities are finished. Most days end close to the scheduled time, but occasional later evenings should be expected. Our full-time team members are paid for 40 hours per week despite our regular office schedule being approximately 33.5 hours. Occasional travel for chiropractic seminars and professional development is required and may include overnight or weekend travel. Compensation & Benefits $20-$23/hour, based on experience Benefits include: 40 hours of pay per week with a regular 4-day workweek Fridays off 401(k) with up to 4% employer match Paid time off Wellness bonus Performance-based bonuses No regular weekends We believe people do their best work when they have the opportunity to build a great life outside of work, too.
