Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations across outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing centers, and home health settings. Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques and patient-centered care will help improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote overall wellness. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while developing your clinical skills in a supportive environment. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and home health. Perform therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to facilitate recovery and pain relief. Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to optimize patient care plans and discharge strategies. Maintain comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) management by updating treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries promptly. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety measures to support ongoing recovery outside of therapy sessions. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, or acute care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Skilled in manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy and physiotherapy treatment implementation. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Ability to operate medical equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, or home health settings. Prior experience in outpatient clinics or skilled nursing facilities is preferred; inpatient or acute care experience is highly valued. Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to restoring mobility and improving quality of life through expert physical therapy assistance!
