Responsibilities Provide treatments under the direction of a licensed physical therapist Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and treatment plans Monitor patient progress and document care accurately Educate patients on exercises and home-care routines Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members Maintain a safe, organized treatment environment Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current Illinois PTA license Strong interpersonal and communication skills Positive, dependable, and comfortable engaging with patients Familiarity with electronic health records is a plus
