This position is situated near Sycamore, IL, where youll be instrumental in helping students achieve their physical therapy goals in a welcoming, collaborative environment. The role begins as soon as possible and extends through the full academic calendar year, until May 27, 2027.
Desired Skills & Background:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois Experience supporting pediatric populations, especially within school settings Knowledge or background in school-based physical therapy (PT - School, PTA - School) Strong communication and organizational skills Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively with educators and support teams Adaptability in addressing a diverse range of student needs across elementary, middle, and high school levels
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and develop individual therapeutic plans for K-12 students to promote mobility and access to education Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services in accordance with IEPs Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes consistent with school policies Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to support student success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for comprehensive student care Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere for all students This contract offers a unique blend of professional autonomy and daily collaboration, allowing you to see real, measurable impacts in students' educational journeys.
