Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Outpatient Therapy

Job Description

This role involves implementing patient care plans under the supervision of a physical therapist, treating patients of all ages through interventions such as therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy. The candidate will educate patients, families, and healthcare providers, document treatment activities in accordance with policy, and coordinate with the PT on patient progress and treatment adjustments. Qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance, licensure as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, and BLS certification. Candidates must be board eligible and complete required continuing education, especially for acute stroke care. Key skills include effective communication, documentation, teamwork, and knowledge of various therapy modalities.
