Job Description

Overview Ayur Home Health is seeking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care environments. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals through effective therapeutic interventions. Duties Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Conduct therapy sessions focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to enhance recovery. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize knowledge of geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and trigger point therapy as applicable to patient needs. Support the development of care plans tailored to each patient's unique requirements. Experience Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in geriatrics or skilled nursing facilities. Strong understanding of physiology and its application in rehabilitation practices. Familiarity with acute care environments and the ability to adapt treatment approaches accordingly. Experience with patient care methodologies that promote effective recovery outcomes. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in physical therapy. Requirements Valid Drivers License and Car insurance CPR certification Valid PTA license Willingness to travel between patients
