Location:
Providence Medical Center- Kansas City, KS A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a crucial role in healthcare by supporting physical therapists in delivering patient-centered care. PTAs work in various settings, such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, outpatient clinics, or private practices. PTAs aid in improving patient mobility, relieving pain, and preventing or limiting permanent disabilities by executing rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient's needs.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to): Execute components of patient care, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation, as directed by the physical therapist. Teach patients and their families exercises to be continued at home, ensuring understanding and compliance to promote recovery. Observe and document patient responses and progress toward goals, adjusting treatments as necessary and reporting back to the physical therapist. Work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient's specific needs are met efficiently and effectively. Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, schedule appointments, and ensure compliance with all guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:

You must have:
An Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state Physical Therapist Assistant license Current BCLS (AHA) Certificate upon hire and maintain current Additional Qualifications That Are a
