Position Summary:
Our Client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with the ability to remain calm under pressure. The PTA will be responsible for assisting Physical Therapists with patient care, implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and helping patients improve their mobility and physical function. To be successful as a PTA, you should be able to follow treatment plans, communicate effectively, and work well in a team-oriented and sometimes stressful environment. A good PTA has strong observational skills, patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing safe, professional, and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and mobility. Assist patients with walking, transfers, stretching, and other functional activities. Monitor and document patients' progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in condition. Maintain accurate and timely patient records and treatment documentation.
Requirements:
Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Kansas. BLS by AHA Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Previous clinical experience preferred.
