Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to provide consistent PRN hours at our beautiful Assisted Living and Independent Living community in Topeka, KS. In this role, you will provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, helping residents improve their independence, safety, and functional mobility.
Responsibilities:
Treatment:
Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve safety, functional mobility, strength, and independence.
Documentation:
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Collaboration:
Communicate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress, response to treatment, and any changes in functional status or needs.
Professional Development:
Participate or lead team development meetings.
Wellness Programming:
Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license or license eligibility.
Skills:
Proficient in implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Technology:
Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
