Job Description

Physical Therapy Assistant Join the Willow Tree Post Acute team as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Topeka, KS! As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in a rehabilitation setting.
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will assist physical therapists in the delivery of patient care, maintain accurate and detailed records, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. You will also participate in patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This is a PRN position with competitive compensation and benefits package (to be determined).
Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists in the delivery of patient care, including conducting physical therapy treatments, exercises, and activities Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination Participate in patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain a safe and organized treatment environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) Valid Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of Kansas Minimum of 0 years of experience in physical therapy or a related field Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
