Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Implement various physical therapy treatments, including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other modalities to promote healing. Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and follow-up strategies. Maintain comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure all medical documentation complies with regulatory requirements. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress, and home care instructions to foster understanding and compliance. - Active Kentucky PTA credential or other valid authorization to practice in Kentucky.
- Strong patient-care, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow established treatment plans and work collaboratively with the supervising Physical Therapist.
