Physical Therapist Assistant Job Description Overview:
We are currently looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at our Shreveport Clinic. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients on their journey to recovery and improved mobility. This position offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to work one-on-one with patients to enhance their quality of life. You will see a maximum of 8 patients per day.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in identifying and addressing patients' goals and needs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Provide cost-effective treatments to enhance patients' motion and mobility.
  • Support in reducing the reliance on medications and exploring non-surgical alternatives for improved outcomes.
  • Aid in developing personalized care plans utilizing various treatment techniques.
  • Collaborate in designing fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care using proven interventions.
  • Encourage and motivate patients throughout treatment to optimize their functionality.
  • Contribute to promoting a healthy lifestyle by enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Evaluate treatment effects, monitor progress, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care services.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Solid educational background and clinical expertise in physical therapy.
  • Ability to effectively manage patients with diverse personalities and conditions.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of best treatment practices in physical therapy.
  • Eagerness to pursue continuous learning and professional development.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Associate degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
