Physical Therapist Assistant — Fultz Physical Therapy & Joint Rehab Job Overview Fultz Physical Therapy & Joint Rehab is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in South Shreveport. In this role, you'll work directly with our licensed physical therapists to carry out individualized treatment plans, guide patients through recovery, and help them regain strength, mobility, and confidence. This is a paid position for a motivated PTA ready to build clinical and professional skills within a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Work alongside licensed physical therapists at our Ellerbe office to implement personalized treatment plans for patients recovering from sports injuries, surgery, or living with arthritis and joint pain. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and corrective exercise programs designed to restore mobility and function. Operate clinical equipment safely, ensuring proper use and routine maintenance during treatment sessions. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning in accordance with clinical documentation standards. Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to support well-rounded patient care. Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records within our electronic health records (EHR) system. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility strategies, and injury prevention to build long-term independence. Requirements Valid Louisiana licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Experience in outpatient orthopedic care; sports injury rehab, post-surgical rehab, or joint pain treatment experience is a plus. Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Skill in manual therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy; familiarity with functional dry needling is a plus. Comfort with clinical documentation, assessment records, and discharge planning. Strong communication skills for working with patients across the Shreveport-Bossier community and coordinating with our care teams.
