Physical Therapy Technician Bratton Physical Therapy - Slidell, LA Part-Time | $14.00-$15.00 per hour Bratton Physical Therapy is looking for a dependable, hardworking, caring, and positive Physical Therapy Technician to join our small outpatient clinic. This is an active, patient-facing position for someone who enjoys helping people, likes to stay busy, and takes pride in doing a job well. Previous physical therapy experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person. Reliability, maturity, work ethic, good judgment, and willingness to learn matter most. Schedule Mondays and Wednesdays, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch. Because patient schedules can vary, the exact end time may occasionally be slightly earlier or later. Applicants should be able to reliably commit to the full Monday and Wednesday workday. Occasionally, there may be opportunities for additional hours on Friday mornings or Saturdays , depending on clinic needs, performance, and availability. Additional hours are not guaranteed. What You'll Do Greet patients and introduce yourself when assisting them Assist patients with exercises as directed by the physical therapist Set up and put away exercise equipment Prepare treatment areas and assist with modality setup as directed Help with patient positioning or mobility when trained and instructed Clean and disinfect tables and equipment Keep the clinic clean and organized Wash, dry, fold, and put away clinic laundry Restock towels and supplies Help patients feel comfortable and encouraged Report pain, dizziness, unusual responses, or safety concerns to the physical therapist Complete routine responsibilities without repeated reminders Help with other clinic duties as needed Patient safety comes first. When unsure about a patient, exercise, treatment setup, or equipment, we expect you to ask rather than guess . Professional Expectations Arrive on time and ready to work Maintain good personal hygiene and a neat, professional appearance Stay engaged and productive Keep personal cell phones put away while working Treat patients and coworkers with kindness and respect Accept coaching and constructive feedback professionally Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality Follow clinic procedures and safety expectations Maintain dependable attendance Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on job and is not primarily seated.
You should be comfortable:
Standing and walking for much of the workday Bending, reaching, and squatting Moving exercise equipment and clinic supplies Carrying towels, laundry, and supplies Assisting with patient activities when trained and directed Cleaning and maintaining treatment areas throughout the day Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation Dependable Monday and Wednesday availability Strong communication and people skills Good judgment and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions Willingness to learn and accept feedback Previous physical therapy experience is helpful but not required . This may be especially rewarding for someone interested in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, rehabilitation, or healthcare . Why Work With Us? Pay:
