Support patient care by monitoring progress, providing encouragement, and ensuring comfort during treatment sessions. Document clinical assessments, treatment details, and progress notes accurately following clinical documentation standards and medical documentation protocols. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety guidelines and healthcare regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and other therapists—to coordinate comprehensive discharge planning and ongoing care strategies. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure up-to-date medical documentation and compliance with privacy standards. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, and related medical terminology. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and physical therapy treatment implementation. Ability to operate medical equipment used in physical therapy procedures safely and confidently. Excellent communication skills for caregiver engagement and client interaction across diverse populations. Prior experience with acute care or outpatient therapy is preferred; inpatient or skilled nursing facility experience is highly valued.
