Job Description

Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding environment supporting students as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a school-based setting near Cambridge, MA. This full-time, contract role offers you the opportunity to make an immediate and meaningful difference in students' lives while collaborating with educators and therapy professionals. The assignment begins in late August and covers a 12-week leave, with the potential for extension based on needs and performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Massachusetts Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children Background in healthcare or school-based physical therapy settings preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families Reliable, organized, and flexible in a fast-paced school environment

Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of individualized physical therapy plans under the guidance of a licensed PT Engage students in therapeutic activities targeting mobility, strength, and functional independence within the school setting Monitor progress and maintain comprehensive documentation on student outcomes Communicate observations and recommendations to therapy, educational, and administrative teams Participate in team meetings and contribute to the broader school community's success
