(PTA) SUMMARY Provides skilled physical therapy services consistent with professional standards and policies. Participates in the development of programs necessary to achieve patient care objectives. Education and Experience of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA): Minimum of a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program for PTA. Prefer a minimum of one year of experience in a therapist capacity. Preferred experience in skilled nursing facility setting or rehab hospital.QUALIFICATIONS
of the Physical Therapist (PT): Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Some of the Job Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) include: Works under the direction of the Registered Physical Therapist to: Provides physical therapy services following the therapy plan of care established by the Registered Physical Therapist consisting of the plan of care to include goals and discharge plans. Documents observations, patient 's response to treatment, treatment programs provided, and notable changes in patient's condition. Communicates and coordinates patient's care with other members of the patient' s health care team and the patient. Provides patient, family and caregiver teaching related to the patient's physical therapy program, safety, and functional status. Assist the patient and/or family to procure needed equipment or supplies for optimal functioning and safety both in and out of the home environment. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistant Students in accordance with regulations and policy as qualified.
